Please take note that my policies are set in stone and they will not be changed,
that being said, please read thoroughly and take your time. Above anything else I want you to have a safe appointment
and enjoy the benefits of lash extensions, they are a commitment. Please also keep in mind in order to schedule a full set appointment you must book your consultation prior to choosing, your appointment will be denied if you only book a full set. This does not apply to fill set appointments.
Before you book your appointment please ensure of the following:
You are comfortable lying down for a few hours with your eyes closed. You are also comfortable wearing a mask when you arrive.
Your eyes are free of signs and symptoms of infection and fully recovered from recent eye surgeries or procedures.
You do NOT have allergies/ sensitivities to acrylates or cyanoacrylates adhesives. ( If you are unsure you can book a patch test on my booking site)
You are healthy and do not have any sickness of any kind. If you are feeling sick please do not book an appointment.
The client must avoid drinking these items 24 hrs before lash appointment:
-coffee
-energy drinks
-alcohol
( this will cause twitching of the eyes while you have them closed and I will be unable to place lash extensions)
Your natural lashes do not have to be clean before your appointment as I will wash them however, you must not have any makeup on the eyes or on your lashes. Avoid using strip lashes a few days before as the glue stays and is hard to remove.
If you wear contacts or glasses please be prepared to take them off for your appointment as I will be applying the lash extensions which will cause the contacts to dry and essentially scratch your eye. You can take off these items right before we get started, please let me know before we begin.
Do not apply heavy creams, lotions or oils to your face within 48 hrs prior to your appointment.
Do not receive chemical treatments to your eyelashes, such as tinting or perming, within 48 hrs prior to your appointment.
Ensure you have fully recovered from recent irritating eye-area treatments, such as skin-resurfacing procedures, chemical peels, eyebrow waxing, laser treatments and permanent makeup application. Recovery time varies with each procedure and individual.
No guests are allowed including children
If you do not follow any of these instructions and show up to your appointment with the above portion, I will forfeit your appointment and you will be charged accordingly.
The client agrees to having their eyes closed until instructed to open them at the end of the appointment. The client also agrees to not talk during the application of lash extensions. Doing so will affect the way the lashes are put and can also cause scratching of the eye with the gel pads/tape. It can also cause the fumes of the glue to enter the eye as you are talking which can cause a burn. Please bring your own headphones if you wish or I can put anything specific to play in the background. Please avoid moving your body as it can also affect the way the extensions are placed, keep in mind my tools are sharp and any harsh movement can harm you and myself. I do have breaks in between where you can stretch if you need to.
The client can ask for modifications after the appointment. This allowed time is only 45 minutes. Please let me know exactly what you want to change. Once satisfied, you're all done. If, for whatever reason, you are not satisfied with your lashes after modifications, you may ask for a removal of the lashes for which may take up to an hour. You will still be charged for your full set appointment but the removal will be free of charge. If the next few days pass and you are not satisfied with your lashes then you may book a removal on the website, no modifications will be done after you leave the appointment.
Please take note that your natural lashes will fall everyday, as they continuously grow. Lash extensions are a semi-permanent procedure which means they will not stay on forever. The client is in charge of pre-booking their lash fills in order to secure a spot that is every 2 weeks. You can pre-book with me at your appointment as well. You can also book your fills 3 weeks after your appointment as long as you have 50% lash extensions leftover, this is all dependent on your lifestyle. 4 weeks will not be accepted and your appointment will be cancelled.
Do you frequently touch your eyes? Do you rub on them or pull on them? If so, lash extensions may not be the best option for you. If you pull on a lash extension, you will affect your natural lash but most importantly you will cause your extensions to fall out faster which means you will need to come sooner for a fill. In this case it could also mean lash extensions just isn't right for you which is okay! I will have other products you may purchase soon, keep an eye on the website!
Do you have a tendency to move alot in your sleep? Do you toss and turn every night? If so, lash extensions may not be the best option for you. The pressure of moving your face with your pillow will cause your extensions to pull out. A good solution for this problem is to buy a satin pillowcase and sleep on your back. You can also buy a satin eye mask to wear to sleep.
Now if you're pregnant your hormones tend to be all over the place but this can also affect how fast your natural lashes grow. This may cause retention issues and you may need to come in more frequently. During your appointment you may also need to go to the bathroom or be uncomfortable during your application process. In this case lash extensions may not be the best option.
If you are a gym fanatic, lash extensions may not be the best option for you. Now here's why, your sweat! It can cause retention issues and you may need to come in more frequently. A temporary solution is to wash your lashes right after you finish gyming.
If you are on birth control this causes your hormones to differ than normal which causes retention issues and your lashes tend to fall out a lot faster than normal. Having high blood pressure and or dry syndrome can also affect your lash extensions. There is also a list of other medications/symptoms that can cause more hair loss so lash extensions may not be the best option. Any kind of eye condition may result in us cancelling your appointment, please be honest as you fill out your forms, you will be charged for your appointment.
Now if you have cancer you know the awful effects it has on the body but it also affects your hair as well. You tend to have little to no hair which means lash extensions might not be the best option. Now this does not mean for everyone with cancer, please consult with me to see the next step during our consultation.
